Phil brought his T5.1 back to us for a full conversion following carpet lining a couple of years ago. We fitted a Skyline Skylow roof with a bi-folding bed. Phil wanted the space in the back to carry his mountain bikes, so we fitted a Smartbeds EvolutionR slide bed on rails, which allows the bed to be pushed all the way forwards giving boot space, or all the way back to make a more roomy living area. EVO Design furniture was fitted with flush doors to allow the bed to slide and Atro flooring to finish off.

Emma came to us with her Ford Transit Custom LWB, which contained a home build by the previous owner. She wanted full Sunset Campers conversion as she wasn’t happy with the existing design. She wanted a rock and roll bed on rails so there can be a boot space big enough for bikes, pop top roof for extra height, fridge, sink, hob and microwave all with the ability to go off grid with a solar panel and an inverter. We showed Emma some EvoDesigns units and she chose the one pictured in high gloss white with black sparkle worktop.

Nigel and Rachel brought their VW T6.1 LWB to us with a view to a full Sunset Campers Conversion. We appreciate a full Conversion can be an expensive venture, so as we have done for previous customers, we broke the build down into four phases. They choose to do the first 2 phases first which included full sound deadening and insulation, followed by the first fix wiring. This was covered with new high line plywood paneling and two tone carpet lining in graphite and silver. The floor was sound deadened and insulated with new plywood and covered with Altro flooring. They opted for the 130cm RIB bed with VWs T6.1 brick upholstery to match their existing front seats. To finish off this phase we fitted 6 LED dimmable touch sensitive spot lights. They then returned for the final two phases of their build which included Slimline VanFurniture with fridge, and second fix electrics with an eGrill [...]

Richard brought his MWB Mercedes Sprinter Panel Van to us for a full Camper Conversion. He wanted a fixed bed, shower/toilet, kitchen area, and a living area. We showed him the EvoDesign Sprinter/Crafter kits and from there he chose the design and layout that suited his needs. From the wide range of colours EvoDesigns have, he decided to go with Satin Pastel Green with a Bamboo worktop. Richard wanted to be able to go off grid as well as on grid, so we fitted a 360W solar panel to keep the leisure batteries charged and a 1600W inverter. We also fitted a gas/electric water heater for the shower and sink and a 4KW Autoterm diesel heater to keep heat the van in winter months. Swivel bases were fit to the front seats to open out the living area.

Steve brought his VW Caddy to us for a conversion from a Panel Van to Micro-Camper. This was our first ever Micro-Camper conversion and we really enjoyed working on it. To start with we fully sound deadened and insulated it and used new Plywood Panels which we carpet lined in Graphite with Black on the roof. This was finished off with 4 touch sensitive dimmable LEDs. The floor was insulated, plywood lined and finished with off with Altro floor covering. Steve chose a Rusty Lee RnR bed trimmed with Black Leather feel and Red Gti trim, he also had the front seats retrimmed to match. We fitted a 2kw Autoterm diesel heater for camping in the colder weather, then added a Leisure battery with DC to DC split charger. The EHU was fitted under bonnet with mains a charger.

Chris brought his brand new T6.1 Kombi to us for some Exterior Styling and some inside work. We fitted the Leighton Vans LV-R Styling Kit with side bars and 20″ gloss black Alloy Wheels. The van was the lowered using Bilstein B14 coilovers. We think you will agree the exterior looks amazing. Inside we fully carpet lined in Anthracite, and installed a Kombi bulkhead. The existing seats were then retrimmed in Black Leather feel and Red Gti trim. These were finished off with new seat belts re-webbed in Black with Red Gti strip. We were really impressed with the quality of the LV-R kit and think this van is a real head turner now.

Tim brought his T6 to us for a front end facelift. We added Transporter HQ V3 headlights with DRLs, gloss black grills and lower splitter. As you can see from the pictures, the side bars had seen better days, so we replaced those with Trapezoid side bars. This certainly made a difference.

  • Comments Off on Richard and Hazel’s Renault Master Full Conversion

Richard and Hazel came to us with their Renault Master, which was originally a mobility van. It was already carpeted, but without sound deadening and insulation, so that was our first job. We added a skylight to the roof for ventilation, as there were no opening side windows in the back. We then set about wiring in a leisure battery with split charger and Solar Panel. Next we replaced the floor covering with Altro flooring before making a bespoke U-shaped bed and kitchen pod. This included storage for a portaloo. We built in a 2 burner hob, sink and a fridge. The customers also wanted a TV mounting, with external aerial and a Fiamma F80 pullout awning. They are now all set to go on their adventures.
